Tuesday, April 26th is World IP Day – a day on which the global IP community joins with others to acknowledge the fundamentally important role of IP in promoting and sustaining creative activity and technological innovation and development throughout the world. It is a day to promote greater awareness and understanding of that role.
Since 2000, April 26th has been recognized as World IP Day. Member states of WIPO selected April 26th as it was the date on which the WIPO Convention came into effect. This year’s theme at WIPO is “Digital Creativity: Culture Reimagined” http://www.wipo.int/ip-outreach/en/ipday/.
